The Big Gay Market is a LGBTQ+ organized market series that focuses on creating safe and fun events for our LGBTQ+ communities. The mission of The Big Gay Market is to host inclusive, welcoming, and fun maker/local business markets for the Madison community and beyond. A Big Gay Market is a designated intentional and affirmative space for LGBTQI+ individuals, especially for those in our community that have intersecting marginalized identities, to join together in queer and trans joy for a cause.

This weekend from June , The Big Gay Market (TBGM) will host its annual Big Gay Pride Market at the Alliant Energy Center. This will be TBGM’s first three-day event since it first began hosting makers markets in March of The Big Gay Market is a space where people of all identities can find support and community while shopping from local artists who share their values.

It’s more than just a market—it’s a place where LGBTQ+ individuals can come together to share their work, connect, and celebrate each other. The Big Gay Market is operated by two passionate LGBTQ+ artists, Ashley Shaw Adams (she/her) and Oliver DiPietro (they/them). They share the responsibilities of organizing the market, but also have other jobs, hobbies, and interests!.
